Hey there,

I'm Liz...

Motherhood portrait.

I'm a wife + mother raising my two sons in Southern MD. I love summertime + sandy toes. I love breakfast for dinner + the smell of coffee brewing in the morning. I love the sounds my sons make when they're driving their toy cars + any movie with Jimmy Stewart in it. My love of photography first began with a love of old photographs...worn black + white images from the 30s + 40s. Snapshots framed in Polaroids. Drugstore prints from disposable cameras. I loved them all. I loved them because they felt honest...the majority of these photos were unposed, imperfect, + to be quite frank, nothing particularly extraordinary...except for the fact that it was these exact imperfect + ordinary moments that formed someone's life.

These are the kind of images I long to create...ones that feel like coming home, ones that feel timeless enough to live framed on your walls, + ones that are treasured enough to be worn from hands holding them. I long to create art that makes you feel seen just as you are...because after all, the details that seem so ordinary are what makes you + your life extraordinary.
