Hi there,
I'm Liz...
I live in Southern MD with my husband & two sons. I love summertime & sandy toes. I love breakfast for dinner & the smell of coffee brewing in the morning. I love the sounds my sons make when they're driving their toy cars & any movie with Jimmy Stewart in it. My love of photography first began with a love of old photographs — worn black & white images from the 30s & 40s. Snapshots framed in Polaroids. Drugstore prints from disposable cameras. I loved them all. I loved them because they felt honest. The majority of these photos were unposed, imperfect, & to be quite frank, nothing particularly extraordinary — except for the fact that it was these exact imperfect & ordinary moments that formed someone's life.
These are the kind of images I long to create. Ones that feel like coming home. Ones that feel timeless enough to live framed on your walls & ones that are treasured enough to be worn from hands holding them. I long to create art that makes you feel seen just as you are — because after all, the details that seem so ordinary are what makes you & your life extraordinary.
